Luce, meaning "light" in Italian, is the cheerful face of the Vatican's Jubilee 2025. Designed to guide young pilgrims toward hope and faith, Luce is clad in a yellow raincoat, with mud-stained boots and a pilgrim's cross. Her trusty dog, Santino, accompanies her on this journey. The glimmering shells in her eyes recall the scallop shell of the Camino de Santiago, a symbol of pilgrimage.
Joining Luce are her friends Fe, Xin, and Sky, each outfitted in brightly colored jackets, embodying a spirit of adventure and camaraderie. These characters were unveiled at the Lucca Comics and Games convention, marking the Vatican's foray into pop culture to resonate with younger generations.
